There may be more you would add to complete a thorough assessment of your elements of balance.
To begin an exploration of your life of balance, consider the questions within each of the following areas.
- Relationships (Emotional Element) – Points to ponder: what are the qualities of the relationships in your life? Begin to notice which relationships energize you and which ones drain your energy?
- Career (Mental Element) – Do you have passion about your work? Do you enjoy what you do and the people you work with? Finding work you truly love is an essential component to a life of balance.
- Spirituality (Spiritual Element) – Each of us has a spiritual nature and a unique way of expressing it. Do you feel connected and in alignment with your spiritual practice? What does it mean to you to be spiritual, feel nourished, and at peace?
- Physical Element – Energy begets energy! Movement – whatever type you love and enjoy - provides health-promoting benefits. Do you have a simple daily or weekly physical practice that contributes to your health and happiness?
Honestly evaluate whether there are areas in your life that require more or less attention. Recognition can be the first step toward balance.
